Prices
The prices listed in the shop do not include VAT and VAT is not collected from the sales. Christine Novosel uses a pricing rubric to ensure prints and artwork of all sizes and complexity are priced fairly and transparently – the prices are not arbitrary. A3 prints are double the price of a similar A4 print, etc. 300gsm paper prints are double the price of a similar 150gsm paper print, etc. Factors that influence pricing include: the materials used, time involved in production, Scottish Artists Union and a-n The Artists Information Company recommended rates of pay, market prices, whether the item is editioned or unique, and the size of the final item. We reserve the right to alter prices at any time. It may be necessary to change prices either up or down, due to a number of reasons including but not limited to: materials and supplies price changes, Royal Mail and/or shipping cost changes. Any changes will be confirmed to you at the time of ordering.
Order Confirmation
Once you have placed an order with us you will receive email confirmation. You should keep a copy of this in case you or we need to get in touch about the order. If you do not receive an email confirmation, please get in touch via email so we can make sure the order went through: info@christinenovosel.com.
Shipping
Your print will be put inside a recycled sleeve for protection, then into a recyclable board backed envelope. Orders are sent via Royal Mail. Shipping fees are placed on your final order and correspond to the largest item in the cart. Purchases of multiple items are bundled together where possible. If you are purchasing several prints, your order may arrive in separate envelopes. Oversize artwork will have the shipping cost included in the list price, and this will be stated in the product description.
Commissions for non-commercial / individual clients
The Pet Portrait Package includes a consultation if desired, and requires a minimum of 1 quality reference photograph to be supplied. A quality photograph is deemed one that is well lit, sharp, free of background clutter, reflects accurate colours, and taken at an angle that reflects the desired outcome. If the reference photograph is not of a quality to ensure a good result, we will contact you to obtain alternative images. If requested, a sketch can be sent to you for approval before the final artwork is created. You will be able to request an edit at this point, however please note this will add more time to the production schedule. Outwith sketches, changes and shipping, Pet Portraits will take no more than 15 working days to complete. We will get in touch if this timeframe cannot be honoured.
Initial consultations for other bespoke projects are free. During the consultation, drawings and/or notes of your ideas will be taken, and any reference material (photographs of your own or sourced online) can be supplied thereafter. A quote will be issued confirming deliverables, prices, payment options, expenses and delivery dates, which both you and Christine Novosel will sign. Once signed, a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the quoted price is due. Christine Novosel will issue you an invoice which can be paid via card, cash or bank transfer. A mid-point review will be sent to you via email. You are able to suggest up to two changes or edits, after which the final artwork will be approved and put in production. Once the final artwork is ready for delivery, the remaining invoice amount will be requested and once paid, the job will be released and shipped. Unless included in the contract, no license will be transferred to the client for reproduction of the artwork.
